- What is counted?
- By default only A–Z and a–z. You can often choose case-sensitive (separate counts for A and a) or case-insensitive (combined). Numbers and punctuation are ignored unless you change options.
- How many results?
- Usually all letters that appear at least once, sorted by frequency. Some tools let you limit to top N (e.g. top 10).
- Use cases?
- Useful for basic crypto analysis, language detection, or checking distribution in generated text.
