Frequently Asked Questions

What counts as a vowel?
In this tool, A, E, I, O, U (and optionally Y when it sounds like a vowel) are vowels. All other letters are treated as consonants and not duplicated.
How many times are vowels repeated?
By default each vowel is doubled (e.g. hello → heelloo). You can often choose 2 or more repetitions.
Case sensitivity?
Both uppercase and lowercase vowels (A, a, E, e, etc.) are duplicated. The case of each repeated vowel matches the original.
