What counts as a consonant?
In English, any letter that is not A, E, I, O, U (and usually Y when not a vowel) is a consonant. This tool treats A, E, I, O, U as vowels; all other letters are consonants.
How many times are consonants repeated?
By default each consonant is doubled (e.g. hello → hhellllo). You can often choose 2 or more repetitions.
What about spaces and punctuation?
Spaces, numbers, and punctuation are not changed. Only consonant letters are duplicated.
